Applicants should typically have the following:  

Higher education degree 

You should usually hold a second-class honours degree from a recognised British or overseas university. Non-graduates with appropriate professional qualifications will be considered on an individual basis. Those with a third-class honours degree are encouraged to complete an application as we will consider an applicant's wider circumstances in making a decision on an application.

English Language Requirements 

IELTS Academic

Postgraduate degrees – 6.5 overall with a minimum 5.5 in each component

Roehampton English Language Test

University of Roehampton's KITE Test 

In partnership with Kaplan International, students can take the University of Roehampton KITE test, an easy-to-access, online English Language test that can be taken anywhere at any time.

University of Roehampton students and offer holders can claim a £25 discount, reducing the price to just £65

KITE Certificates are issued within 5 working days of test completion.

TOEFL IBT 

Postgraduate degrees - 89 overall with a minimum of 17 in Listening and Writing, 18 in Reading and 20 in Speaking

Fees and funding opportunities

Study Loans

For applicants from England and Wales, you can apply for a Master's Loan of up to £12,167 from Student Finance for the 2023/24 academic year throughout the course. This amount can be at your discretion to be used towards fees, maintenance costs, or other related costs. If your course lasts for more than a year, the loan will be divided equally across each year of your course.

Repayment Terms

Loans are repayable once you earn over £21,000 per annum and will be repaid over a maximum of 30 years. Further information about interest rates and other details are available with Student Finance England.
